I've been very naughty and not kept my blog up to date this week. I took the weekend off as annual leave and have had a lovely time with my family. just the normal stuff that we dont often have time for! I even managed to get a night off and double date with my brother-in-law and his girlfriend.

I had a lovely morning today! I baked a cake - more specifically this one from Debbies blog




I obviously still need to do the icing but it looks and smells very yummy!!!
please excuse the state of the tray it's the one i use to catch the drips. and I really thought this was going to over flow! there looks like alot of cake mix for tin but it was perfect!

also my postman brought a box of goodies today... heres some of the things i got!







how happy am I!!! I also wanted to share my stamp collection...



I know really random but i'm going to start experimenting with stamps over the coming weeks so watch this space! I may even move over into embossing at some point!
ooohhh I found these in Dunelm they're buttons! I'm going to snip the loop at the back off and use them in my scrapping. I have loads of them - just wanted to show you one of each design

Hi everyone!!

well today i'm just going to share my latest layouts! I have hundreds of papers now and i love being able to raid them for just the right one! still need a few more embellishments as "back up stock" :) I've ordered some stamps from mad about cards they have a pound shop and i raid it about once a month :) there is a minimum order of £15 but its easy to spend that! I love raiding all the sale sections and ebay too for just the right bargain! I really need to find some reasonably priced craft stores near me!

I've decided i need a cuttlebug or something similar so i'll add that to my enormous wish list! when i get paid this month i'm going to order a huge pile of bloomers from Sarah as I only have little ones left and they dont work quite as well on some layouts!



I love these little flowers the ones in the middle are less than 1cm wide! i've added a clear bead to the center rather than buttons this time! I think it looks quite cute!




i decided it was about time to include a layout with a photo of me and drew. "hugs" wasnt my first choice of word but theses letters where the best colour i had and i didnt have enough letters to use my other choices!

these pictures were taken on xmas morning whilst we were opening our stockings in my bed, Drews such a sweetie! Peekaboo was as fun as unwrapping gifts!!

I'm not keen on this layout. i did it quite late at night and it's not come out quite as i imagined it would when i started!

I'm afraid that these layouts arent quite complete as stupid truprint are taking forever to send me my photos. I've come to the conclusion i need a photo printer. a flashy one at that! so i'm going to save up until i can have one! ooohhh another new toy to play with!!

I'm also waiting on a few parcels from ebay. containing all sorts of goodies! including fibres, flowers, embellishments, papers, double sided tape (i go through LOADS for some reason!) and ribbon!
anyway here are todays layouts......






obviously they are a way off being done but i cant do any more with out the photos really. I will show you them when i've finished too!!

I have also made James a valentines card (stupid me has written in it and sealed it before taking a photo! completely forgot that i should put it on here!) but i did remember to take a photo of a little gift box i made....







photos are a bit naff :( dont understand why though. except the lighting in my front room is rubbish, this box is a tiny 2" x 2" and the circle is a window (i hate using acatate) and i'm going to fill it with love hearts! I've come to the conclusion i need a score board too, just to make boxes easier... hmmm i think i will have to start a list.

hi everyone just to let you know i've been following a fabby blog hop today, there are lots of give aways and so fabby girls giving me loads of inspiration. i will upload some pictures of my latest creations after drew has gone to bed (i'm currently being harrassed by a 3 year old!!)

Hi everyone. I've been following Debbies blog. and I'm joining her in the weekly recipes.
Debbies kindly made a tutorial of how to make a box to keep her recipe cards in. However i've cheated and covered a cardboard box that had some instant custard packets in. mine only measures 5" x 4" instead of the 6 x 4 that Debbie recommended. but it'll do the job!

I think my box is missing something but until i work out what it is it will suit it's purpose!
Here are the recipe cards (I hope Debbie doesnt mind that i've a couple of the recipes she put on her blog before christmas) and apologies for the wonky recipe in the picture. i was trying to finish it at 2am! silly idea really because now i need to re do it!



Debbie has started a facebook group that i have joined and hopefully between us all we'll be able to share some fantastic recipes for sweet and savoury items which i shall probably pass on to you all -thats if i like them :)

My fingers have already been itching this week and i've ended up ordering well over 100 papers, gems and loads of chipboard from ebay to see where the inspiration takes me. i wont mention the order from papermaze i'm waiting for. supposedly you shouldnt buy things on spur of the moment but i have no doubt i will find a use for it! there is nothing better than being surrounded by new crafty stuff!

HAPPY 2010!!!

Well there we are another year gone! and a new fabby one just begining!
I'm rather looking forward to getting back into my crafts after all i've had a couple of weeks off to chill out a bit over xmas!

I have a few photos to show you this week of a few home made gifts that i made for people. including pots of gold and snowman soup but i think thats best left for another time!!
I also recieved lots and lots of craft things for xmas and now need to invest in a cropadile and some more papers and chipboard to put them all to good use!
A friend of mine had her baby girl on tuesday and so i'm making a lovely card for her! wish i had got the hang of stamping / embossing but peel offs and embellishments will just have to do!
